Cars Wars has raced into it’s Sixth Edition and is storming around the Kickstarter track. Steve Jackson Games asked the community to find $80,000, and at the time of writing, there are still 30+ days on the clock, and $435,000+ pledged. No wonder the game has the Kickstarter “Project We Love ” badge.
You can climb behind the wheel yourself or poke around a bit more under the hood over at the campaign page.
There’s no pitch video. Perhaps it wasn’t needed and would be unnecessarily expensive? We’re approaching 2,000 community comments, though, so people are excited and have questions.
There’s no messing around. If you’re interested, the first pledge is US51 (or about £40), and that’s not even enough to get you the game. That gets you some car minis and some rules for the two-player game. So far, there are only 6 backers.
Rev your gears up to a $75 pledge and you’ll get the four-player game as well as all unlocked Ace stretch goals. A more popular pledge, if you discount the early birds and sold out limited tiers, is the $140 option (around £109) that gets you the four-player game, a pack of miniatures a playmat and all unlocked Double Ace stretch goals.
There’s no pitch video, but if you have the time, you can watch some of the playthroughs and live stream videos shared.
