Back in July, Roll20 and Geek Native teamed up for Superhero Week to give away a bunch of superhero Roll20 assets. Entering the prize draw was easy, you just had to let us know which superhero you thought was most likely to be a roleplayer.
The survey provided an extensive list of superheroes for people to vote on, but in the final washup, only 9 received more than 2% of the vote.
There’s a battle between Beast Boy and Spider-man but, in the end, Spider-man wins out with a full third of respondents picking the web-slinger as the most likely crime fighter and tabletop gamer. We didn’t say which Spider-man, though.
Here are the top 9 answers with their respective share of the vote.
Superhero | Vote Share |
Ant-Man II | 7% |
Beast Boy | 24% |
Multiple Man | 2% |
Professor Hulk | 12% |
Quicksilver | 2% |
Shadowcat | 2% |
Shazam | 14% |
Spider-man | 33% |
Zatanna | 2% |
Surprising entries include Quicksilver and Zatanna. Would the speedster have the patience to sit down and play? Do you think Zatanna would play a spellcaster or a warrior?
Equally, Shazam might be considered as under-performing in this table. He is surely exposed to roleplayers and invited to the gaming table often.
It is worth stressing that this survey was not scientifically robust. It was part of a competition, and we had less than 200 responses.
