Activision-Blizzard’s bankers will be happy. The folks at ITworld have done some maths and figure the new Celestial Mount could be earning the World of Warcraft owners up to $2.5m each and every hour.
This is due to two basic rules; high price and high demand.
How high is the price? The Celestial Mount costs a hefty $25. As you might expect this certainly put the cat among the pigeons. Yet, as a gamer, I know there’s also an attraction is owning something of value, of significance and especially if it’s rare.
There’s certainly for it. The unofficial WoW blog estimates the download queue was easily at the 80,000 mark. Some users suggest that that reached as high as 130,000 and with a seven hour download wait.
What’s so special about it? This is the first pet you can do something with – you can ride it.
Activision-Blizzard do admit that they had to limit the purchase process in order to protect their servers.
The mount scales with your maximum attained riding speed so it will only go at 310% speed if you've already got a 310% speed mount. You're really just paying for a cool graphic, and judging by the amount of folks I've see around Dalaran with it, it seems like it'll get old pretty fast.
I like assassins, in the original World of Warcraft called thieves, stalkers were called after harmony.
Output is a good job ah, close attack, can stealth, can faint.
In a copy of the output could get the first good DZ. But also very easy to hang the job. . . Haha.
310% is fast like a flying mount flying at azeroth right? Its interesting but what if lot purchased mount and it become common, every flying at Northrend using uniform mount. Well for me i say no and in fact i really don’t support any blizzard items trying to sell in game items for real money. Billion of dollars isn’t enough they earned yearly?
Well I’d better farm for gold and help me max my profession using my newly bought guide. Thanks to it!
