The Spiderwock Chronicles did awfully well. The books were popular. There was a movie. Sure; it wasn’t Harry Potter but certainly Tony DiTerlizzis is a big name now (if you’ll excuse the joke!).
DiTerlizzi’s next series is “The Search for WondLa” and his publishers have put together a teaser trailer for it.
Writing in his blog, DiTerlizzis explains how the two-colour art style was inspired by the printing process of the late eighteenth century.
The Search for WondLa is abot a 12-yea-old girl who was raised underground by a robot and her search to find other humans. The whole series will use the same two-colour artwork style.
We should expect more than just this video as a teaser for The Search for WondLa as publishers, Simon and Schuster, have promised a $350,000 marketing campaign for the promotion.
