In some games, murder hobos are a problem, though it is also possible to have consensual murder hobo fun in other games.

I’ve been there. In the few big LARPs I’ve done (The Gathering), NPCs were rare outside of combat. It was almost impossible not to be hugely suspicious of any that turned up. They were clearly there for a reason!
