Why not? It’s more likely that little mind flayer would be using all the bandwidth sending out snaps. Wiznet isn’t great, it just takes a few filter photos, and the network is jammed. Spelljammed.
Should a curious little mind flayer actually find out about face filters then we would have to beware of incoming snaps. She might take over everything. There would be a line of merch, probably even crazy stuff like mind flayer snap curtains or rainbow vomit laptop stickers.
Imagine the distraction of trying to keep watch of the city only to have your smartphone buzz with a ridiculous puppy-mind-flayer snap? It would be impossible to work.
