It’s a thing: Space Invaders – The Board Game

612 Entertainment and Sirus Ahmadi are Kickstarting Taito’s Space Invaders as a board game. It’s going well. At the time of writing, there are still 25 days on the clock, and the project is 200% funded. You can learn more about the project on the campaign page.

What does it cost? A pledge of US$30 will get you the limited edition of the game, but shipping only includes certain countries. If you’re not in that list of countries then, sorry to say, there’s no room for you in this Kickstarter.

Step up to $75 for the deluxe version and find nearly $1000 if you want the diorama shown in the pitch video. Wow.

It’s a 2-4 player game in which you’re defending your moon base from the iconic aliens. It’s a competitive game, though, as you’re competing to get the best score.
