Appleseed is a manga by Masamune Shirow in which ESWAT members Deunan Knute and Briareos Hecatonchires try and protect their city, Olympus, from disorder. Half the city are bionically augmented in this post-Third World War blend of cyberpunk and mecha.
I was able to catch Appleseed Alpha on the big screen and was impressed by the CGI. Fan that I am, I’ve not splashed on an Appleseed collectible model. They’re hard to find and expensive. Here’s a few currently available at Amazon.
