Short film: CARL

CARL is a sci-fi animation in which gladiators are forced to fight to a bloody death in front of their new robot overlords.

The tension comes to a head when CARL, the ultimate fighting champion, is pitched against a human slave who doesn’t fight back and then there’s a rescue attempt.

I didn’t twig to who the human was supposed to be. According to Mark Huhasz who designed and directed the animation – this is space Jesus. That’s right; Robot Gladiator versus Space Jesus.

Still worth a watch.
