This year there will be 19 titles to pick from; suitable for kids and adults. There will be 7 min-comics and 12 full comics with this year’s line up expected to include DC’s Scooby Doo Team-Up with Batman#1 , Marvel’s Secret Wars #1, Afterlife with Archie #1, My Little Pony, Hero Cats and Rachel Rising.
As the Halloween ComicFest is supported by Diamond it means the mini-comic packs will be available to pre-order from July’s PREVIEWS catalog and then found at comic shops taking part starting from June 25th. Pre-ordering is recommended as it ensures everything is shipped for early October.
Halloween ComicFest Spokesperson, Jason Blanchard, said;
“This year we want communities to participate in the Halloween ComicFest events at their local comic shop, which really is a great destination to get the latest comics and pop-culture items, meet new friends, and celebrate in Halloween fun,”
“What makes this year unique for Halloween ComicFest are the HCF Mini Packs available for fans to purchase and use not only as a healthier alternative to candy on Halloween, but as an opportunity to pass on the fun of discovering and reading comics to the next generation.”
The goal of the Halloween ComicFestis to help promote comic shops as community businesses, reach new customers and support the industry during the holiday season.
