Wasteland ruins built in LEGO

This diorama by master LEGO builder Patrick Massey (aka MassEditor) is equal parts clever and impressive.

I was first caught by how well the wasteland worked as a LEGO construct. I’d tried as an eager young war gamer to design wasteland terrains and always failed. However, given a bit of extra time to study the build I think it’s the brick effect in the towers that is the most impressive aspect of the diorama. It would have been easy just to have a LEGO tower but Massey manages more – these are towers that look like they’ve been built from actual, badly fitted, bricks.
