If these re-imagined characters were drawn in a way that didn’t portray them as sex objects, then I’d be interested in the idea that they could be warrior princesses but they were drawn as sex objects, so I don’t believe they gained any sense of female empowerment in this re-imagining.
I know what you mean; there’s certainly a lot of idealisation going on here. The artist is female, though. Make of that what you will.
