What? Batman to appear in Superman sequel

Zack Snyder has big news at SD Comic Con. Batman will appear in the Superman sequel. Here’s the rather funky logo for the project.

You may consider the following to be a spoiler. Stop reading if you are cautious.

Man of Steel’s General Swanwick, played by Harry Lennix, made an appearance on stage at Comic Con to read;

I want you to remember, Clark… in all the years to come…in your most private moments…I want you to remember…my hand…at your throat… I want…you to remember… the one man who beat you.

That’s a line from Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns. That’s not the movie but the comic book in which Superman works for the government.
