Winter not coming. WotC insist “s’no new mana”

Wizards of the Coast tweted to insist the new snow mana symbol that had appeared in their Magic: The Gathering search engine was a mistake.

You can see how the snow mana icon currently looks on this Rimescale Dragon card.

Compared with the new icon as it appears on Gather. Look at the Card Text text in the search engine, not the card itself, the icon is almost inverted.

Wizards are suggesting this is a mistake. Of course, it may not be and that may please many Magic players. As David Leavitt points out in the Examainer it feels like there is time to reprint the snow-covered land cards.
