Two years to build 5 foot recreation of the 300 Battle of Thermopylae

LEGO wizard Simon Pickard spent two years building this five feet long recreation of the Battle of Themropylae. The Battle of Thermopylae is so famous that it story has been prominent throughout history and perhaps most recently in the graphic novel and film 300.

This build is 192 studs long by 96 deep. There are 128 CMF Spartans who are up agains 375 that Pickard designed himself. It took two years to build but that includes the time to save up the cash and shop the parts (which may be up to 30 thousand bricks). Simon suggests the physical build time may only have been a couple of days!
