Archenemy and Hero (Maouyuu Maou Yuusha) is a TV anime series based on the fantasy adventure novels from Touno Mamare. This trailer simply oozes fantasy. It’s directed by Takeo Takahashi (Spice and Wolf) with scripts overseen by Naruhisa Arakawa (who also worked on Spice and Wolf).
It’s set in a realm where humanity is at war with demons. Yuusha, the hero, battles to get to Maou the Demon Queen’s castle with the idea of putting and end to the war. The catch? The Demon Queen argues that mankind has done well because of the war against the demons, they’ve united, they’ve made progess in society and in technology. Does he resist? No. He agrees to work with her.
