What if? … the Earth had rings like Saturn

I do like geeky what if scenarios (What if I invented a what if machine…). Here’s a good one. What would it look like if the planet Earth had rings like Saturn?

This video shows you. If the Earth had rings like Saturn then the sky at night would look cool. You might sometimes think you were in a real life game of Halo, though. Except; I don’t imagine a game like Halo would have ever had been made. Our culture would have been so very different and I doubt very much any game would feature rings as weapons that attracted misguided aliens.
