From the New World is set one thousand years in the future. It’s a future in which civilisation has retreated to small communities that are run by the elite few with telekinesis.
The plot follows Saki and her friends Satoru, Maria, Mamoru and Shun as they find a robot outside their town and discover its secret. The robot holds the history of the human race, forbidden knowledge that begins the adventure.
From the New World is based on the sci-fi novel “Shin Sekai Yori”, is written by Yusuke Kishi and animated by A-1 Pictures. A-1 Pictures are the studio behind Fairy Tail.
