How to build your own vortex cannon

It turns out that building your own vortex cannon isn’t very hard at all.

In a cracking video, a pair of students demonstrate just how easy it is to build a the cannon – but also illustrate it’s not the most powerful cannon in the world.

I like the video because it feels real. It’s good to see students doing stuff, filming stuff, that’s both fun and educational at the same time. This is exactly the sort of initiative that could get these students noticed by TV and marketing firms while also encouraging youngsters into science.
