According to Vince Gilligan, Trump has pardoned Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) over in the Better Call Saul universe, and now we have a message from the man himself ahead of the United States of America’s 250th birthday.
In this fun clip – which, by the way, has the Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) stamp of approval – Saul takes a moment to remind you of your rights, and why you shouldn’t ever give them up.
For Better Call Saul fans, it’s a lovely, unexpected surprise to see Saul back at that famous desk. I don’t even care that it’s not relevant to me (as someone residing in the UK) because I effin’ love the show.
Last November, Rich Eisen gave Gilligan the chance to talk about six characters and tell us what he thinks they’re up to these days. Here’s what Gilligan had to say about Saul:
I think Trump pardoned him. That’s what I think. I think he’s out. That’s what I think. I think he’s a free man. I think he’s doing infomercials, I think, is what he’s doing. Yeah, he’s selling stuff on… TV.

Well, I don’t know about you, but that made me smile. I hope Saul actually WAS pardoned, and we get more Saul content in future.
