A new trailer has just dropped for Wildwood, a new animated movie from Laika, directed by Travis Knight, and based on the illustrated novel of the same name by Colin Meloy and Carson Ellis.
This promising new film is coming from the studio that brought us Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings – which can only be a good thing – and the trailer certainly gives off more of that intriguing vibe.
Wildwood follows Prue as she navigates a world filled with talking animals, bandits, and “powerful figures driven by grief and ambition” in a bid to save her baby brother.
Making up the voice cast we have Carey Mulligan, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Jacob Tremblay, Richard E. Grant, Awkwafina, Amandla Stenberg, Tom Waits, Charlie Day, Blythe Danner, Arthur Knight, Maya Erskine, Jake Johnson, Tantoo Cardinal, Rob Delaney, Jemaine Clement, Marc Evan Jackson, Len Cariou, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Angela Bassett and Mahershala Ali.
