We all know that games are big business these days and rival even movies when it comes to the profits the smash hits can make. It’s also true that games are being increasingly promoted like movies and with movie like budgets.
Left 4 Dead is a fantastic game. It’s so good that it’s advertising successes mainly came from natural word of mouth recommendations. Perhaps it’s because some fans are unwilling to consider a Left 4 Dead 2 yet or perhaps because expectations are so high (or just perhaps because they ‘can’) but Valve are pushing an awesome $25 million into the promotion of Left 4 Dead 2.
