Tad Williams’ Otherland: MMORPG trailer

Tad Williams‘ Otherland cyberpunk series is getting an MMORPG of its own. The books are set on Earth, at the start of the 22nd century where technology and society have progressed to full-immersion virtual reality.

In a nice touch, one of the books’ main characters – Orland Gardiner – seems to have spent most of his teenage years in a Lord of the Rings, ahem ‘inspired’, MMORPG himself.

The Otherland MMORPG is being developed by dtp RealU and published by gamigo. Beta testing is due to open early next year.
