World of Darkness gets a new official merch store (and the other one has a sale)
Today, Paradox Interactive announced the launch of a new, dedicated merchandise outlet for its tabletop properties: White-Wolf.store.
The Stockholm-based publisher, which owns the World of Darkness intellectual property, has opened the storefront with a focus on high-quality apparel. The launch collection leans heavily into Vampire: The Masquerade, featuring hoodies, t-shirts, and accessories branded with clan symbols and setting iconography.
According to the announcement, the store aims to provide “official apparel inspired by Vampire: The Masquerade, shaped by identity, loyalty, and power.” It marks a shift for Paradox, taking a more direct hand in merchandising after years of relying primarily on licensing partners for physical goods.
The Tale of Two Stores
Long-time fans of the franchise might find themselves checking the URL twice. This new storefront is distinct from the existing By Night Studios store, which has long served as a hub for the community, particularly Live Action Roleplaying fans.
By Night Studios, the company behind Mind’s Eye Theatre, continues to operate its own separate shop. Coincidentally, they have just launched a Valentine’s Day promotion. From now until February 14th, By Night Studios is offering 20% off all Toreador-themed products, including their LED neon wall signs, journals, and jewellery.
Context for Collectors
The existence of two “official” stores reflects the complex licensing history of the World of Darkness. While Paradox Interactive holds the ultimate rights to the universe (including the tabletop RPGs published by Renegade Game Studios and the various video games), By Night Studios retains the license for the LARP rulesets and associated merchandise.
For tabletop gamers looking for rulebooks rather than t-shirts, the primary digital storefront remains Storytellers Vault, where the core rulebooks and supplements for Vampire, Werewolf, and Hunter are available in PDF and print-on-demand formats.
The new White-Wolf.store is open now for orders, while the By Night Studios Toreador sale runs through Valentine’s Day.
