In a curious intersection of comic book culture and audio engineering, Rebellion has announced a partnership with the UK-based manufacturer ThorpyFx to release a series of high-end guitar effects pedals. The new line features custom artwork based on the iconic 2000 AD characters Judge Dredd, Judge Death, and Rogue Trooper.
This move steps beyond typical merchandise like apparel and collectables, targeting a niche audience of musicians who are also fans of the legendary British comic. The pedals are not toys; they are hand-built, professional-grade pieces of equipment, each carrying a premium price tag of £249.
The collaboration re-skins three of ThorpyFx’s existing award-winning pedals with exclusive 2000 AD designs. Each pedal is built into a custom, gig-ready metal enclosure designed to withstand the rigours of touring.

The three available pedals are:
- The Judge Dredd Lawbringer: This is a re-casing of the ThorpyFx Gunshot, a British-flavoured overdrive pedal known for its dual-gain stages that add extra depth to a guitar’s sound.
- The Judge Death Deathbringer: Based on the ThorpyFx Warthog distortion pedal, this unit offers an American-style distortion that ranges from a clean boost to a heavy fuzz.
- The Rogue Trooper Fallout Cloud: This pedal uses the circuitry of the ThorpyFx Muff-style Fuzz and features an active EQ for greater tonal control.
Rebellion, founded in 1992, continues to operate across various media, including books, comics, and film, though it remains a leading developer of games. The company recently released Sniper Elite: Resistance in January 2025 and the new IP Atomfall in March.
The pedals are available to pre-order now directly from the ThorpyFx website.
