Resolution Games, in collaboration with Wizards of the Coast, has officially announced that Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked will be the only Dungeons & Dragons video game launching in 2025. This tactical strategy adventure is slated for release on November 20, 2025, priced at $29.99 USD. It will be available across Steam, PlayStation, and Meta Quest platforms.
The game is designed for up to four players, distilling the essence of Dungeons & Dragons into a strategic, card-driven combat experience where player choices and dice rolls are paramount. Touted for its accessibility and replayability, Battlemarked aims to appeal to both newcomers and veteran D&D enthusiasts alike.
A Glimpse into the Forgotten Realms
Players can expect to journey through familiar and foreboding environments within the Forgotten Realms. Damon Baker, VP of Digital Licensing for Wizards of the Coast, stated that the game is “ushering in an all-new era of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS video games” and taking the “world’s greatest roleplaying game in exciting new directions.”
For those eager to get an early look, a PC-exclusive demo will be available as part of Steam Next Fest from October 13-20. This demo will allow players to undertake fragments of two quests from the first campaign, including a goblin ambush in Neverwinter Wood and an exploration of a suspiciously hostile Myconid colony.
Players can choose from four initial characters in the demo:
- Bolthrax, the dragonborn paladin
- Tibby, the halfling sorcerer
- Jessix, the human ranger
- Ash, the tiefling rogue
Upon the full launch, two additional characters, Tharok (dwarf fighter) and Lyria (elf bard), will also be available. Those who complete both scenarios in the Steam Next Fest demo will unlock exclusive skins for the game’s 20-sided dice.
Battlemarked blends D&D lore with the fast-paced, turn-based tactics of the Demeo Action Roleplaying system. The co-operative adventure promises quick, pick-up-and-play action, choice-based gameplay, and reimagined classic D&D classes and spells.
