SmiteWorks has announced plans for FG Con 2025, the official online convention for its popular virtual tabletop, Fantasy Grounds. Despite the name, the event is scheduled to take place this year, running from Friday, November 7, 2025, to Sunday, November 9, 2025. The convention serves as a major charity fundraiser for Extra Life.

The online event brings together roleplayers from across the globe to play games using the Fantasy Grounds platform. Prospective Game Masters are invited to register their games now, while player sign-ups are set to open on October 4th.
Those looking to run games during the convention can register via the official Warhorn event page. There are separate submission forms for general games and for GMs planning to run Paizo Organized Play sessions, such as Pathfinder Society or Starfinder Society. GMs will need a full Fantasy Grounds VTT licence to host their games. Organisers also strongly encourage the use of a standardised TTRPG safety toolkit and require GMs to acquire the ‘FG Con GM’ role on the official Discord server at least a week before the event.
For players, the barrier to entry is low. Participation requires only a free demo account for the Fantasy Grounds software, which must be downloaded and updated before the scheduled game. All games and event coordination will be managed through the official Fantasy Grounds Discord server, which acts as the central hub for the convention.
Fantasy Grounds has been a significant player in the virtual tabletop space for many years, offering a robust suite of tools for running a wide variety of roleplaying games online. The platform is known for its automation features and a library of officially licensed rulesets and adventures.
All event registrations and game sign-ups are being handled via Warhorn.
