Space Marine: The Universe – Behind the Scenes

I’ve got to admit that Relic and THQ seem to have captured Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 franchise. This behind the scenes trailer is full of developers saying they respect the “IP”.

In order words, they respect the intellectual property owned by Games Workshop (a company famous for sending the IP lawyers in). You could argue that if the developers really got Warhammer 40,000 then they’d talk about the setting, about the world, about the mythos, universe or canon – anything but the IP. That argument has some weight but I don’t think you can deny how Warhammer 40K-y the Space Marine game feels!
