A creepy second trailer for upcoming horror film Weapons has just dropped from Warner Bros. and it looks like a wild, disturbing and chaotic ride.
Barbarian director Zach Cregger helmed this one, so we were already expecting good things, but this trailer is something else.
In the film, 17 local children all spontaneously leave home at exactly 2:17am, and suspicion falls on their teacher played by Julia Garner (Fantastic Four)… things get A LOT creepier from there.
Here’s the official description:
“A chilling mystery has gripped the small town of Maybrook after 17 children voluntarily left their homes Wednesday morning. Authorities are baffled by the inexplicable disappearance, which has shaken the community to its core.
Upon investigation, front door camera footage showed the children leaving their homes at 2:17am Wednesday morning without any signs of force. Since then, little information has surfaced, and the case continues to baffle investigators.
In response, a school gathering was held, where growing unease among parents became clear. As the town struggles to understand what happened, officials continue to urge the public for any leads, while Maybrook is left waiting for answers.

The movie also features Josh Brolin (Dune), Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), and Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story).
According to New Line Cinema president Richard Brener, Weapons is “Intriguing and unpredictable, with a nice helping of batshit insane.”
And you’ll be able to catch Weapons when it’s released on 8th August (although that’s peak Fringe chaos for myself and Girdy, so we may miss out!).
