The final trailer has just dropped for Mike Flanagan‘s The Life of Chuck, with more story teasing and a focus on the critical acclaim the movie has garnered so far.
The Stephen King adaptation is one that I’ve been eager to cover the more we find out, and it’s one of those movies I just know I’m going to be in absolute pieces over at the cinema, because it’s such an emotional story.
The Life of Chuck is described as “three separate stories linked to tell the biography of Charles Krantz in reverse, beginning with his death from a brain tumour at 39 and ending with his childhood in a supposedly haunted house.”

Hailed as “The best Stephen King film ever made” I can see this is a movie I need to make sure and go out of my way to see at the cinema.
I know from experience that the subject matter may be triggering for some, but it’s such an incredibly moving and beautiful story – and I really think this one will be more than worth the watch.
Here’s what King himself had to say about the adaptation:
It’s a wonderful movie. I don’t know if it will do any business or not. I don’t know if people are in the mood for that sort of warm-hearted thing.
It’s not what I would call syrupy and sentimental because it does have an acknowledgment that life can be very, very difficult. But Hiddleston did a great job as Chuck. I love that movie.

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again; the second I realised Hiddleston would be playing Chuck, I knew why and I saw it instantly as one of the perfect casting examples of all time.
And The Life of Chuck will be hitting cinemas on 13th June!
