Netflix has just dropped the trailer for upcoming horror anime Mononoke The Movie Chapter 2: Hinezumi (or Fire Rat) – the second film in the trilogy – and it’s intense.
Originally a spin-off of 2006 series Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales, the trilogy centres of the Medicine Seller as they deal with various interactions with the supernatural, helping the victims of malicious paranormal entities.
This chapter tells the story of what happens with a women’s rivalry, but it’s also a very visually rich anime that seems very unique, original and difficult to look away from.

Along with its Netflix release, Mononoke The Movie Chapter 2: Hinezumi will be showing in Japanese theatres on 14th March, 2025.
