Fate of Cthulhu, a tabletop roleplaying game from Evil Hat Productions, offers a unique blend of cosmic horror and time-travel action. Drawing inspiration from both the Cthulhu Mythos and “The Terminator,” the game casts players as soldiers from a dystopian future who journey back in time to prevent the arrival of the Great Old Ones.
Built on the versatile Fate Core system, Fate of Cthulhu introduces new mechanics for corruption, time travel, and Great Old Ones technology. Players must grapple with the temptations of forbidden knowledge and power while utilising their future knowledge to combat the impending apocalypse. The game emphasises fast-paced, pulp-horror campaigns focusing on short, structured narratives and defined breakpoints.
There’s a single tier, available until Tuesday, November 5th and available from The Bundle of Holding.
