Superbowl ‘Despicable Me 4’ trailer ‘Minion Intelligence’ pokes a little fun at AI

With Despicable Me 4 on the horizon, it only makes sense for Illumination to be ramping up the ads – and the Superb Owl is an ideal opportunity.

This trailer hits a little differently, featuring the minions playing about with bad AI. Because who doesn’t love minions, am I right? (Am I the only one thinking this is how Skynet happens?)

I’m excited about the film, but this trailer doesn’t really do that much for me – perhaps because of my feelings for AI – particularly AI-generated art and images – in the first place.

Despicable Me 4, featuring Gru, his expanding family – and yes, the minions – is set to be released on 3rd July.
