Axes and Anvils had a long journey to reach its goal. In 2012, Mike Nystul launched three Kickstarter campaigns for Axes and two other games but didn’t deliver much for any of them. Andrew Shields acquired the rights to Axes and Anvils, finished developing the game on his own, and created “the dwarfy-est game ever.”
