Which is better? The PS3 controller or the Xbox 360’s?

Microsoft say they’ve had some feedback from their community which suggests that the D-pad on their controller could be better. They think they’ve made some significant improvements. In this video fan facing spokesman, Major Nelson, shows off the new controller.

Looks pretty simple to me. You twist the D-pad itself to either raise or lower the back support thus creating either a + pad or a D-pad.

Concerns? If this twist doesn’t require an annoying amount of force then I would worry it could slip and twist in the middle of a frantic game. When you’re battling zombies the last thing you want is your D-pad retreating on you. Mind you, I’m sure the team have thought of this and have worked hard to get the balance right.
