Joe Engalan, executive director at the Vectorform Game Studio, has been working on Microsoft Surface games for the last 2 and half years. This includes Setters of Catan and this weekend they gave Seattle PI a good long look at the game.
Engalan told P. Douglas;
“We’re trying to maintain it as a board game as much as possible.”
“For some reason, when it’s digital it really opens up.”
If the game makes its way through the red tape – and this looks likely, it’s licensed and Engalan is pushing for a holiday schedule, then players will be able to play over the web, create their own acconts and view leaderboards.
It all looks entirely awesome.
