There’s another great-looking and impressively cash-rich dice proposal on Kickstarter. Dispell and Wyrmwood have partnered up for The Elemental Collection.
At the time of writing, the tally for the sets of 12 sharp-edge resin dice and dice vaults is north of $200,000. You can see the latest count on the crowdfunding platform.
The two companies have worked together before, and that partnership produced one of the largest Kickstarter dice projects. The success of this Kickstarter, The Elemental Dice Collection, suggests general satisfaction around the first.
There are some gotchas, though. The Kickstarter’s pitch leans into Christmas, but the dice delivery won’t happen in time.
A holiday card generator, though, lets you customise greetings and print them off (or email them) to a friend. There’s no cost, but no dice.
The first wave, the dice and dice vaults released first, was limited to 1,500 backers and has sold out already.
The Elemental Collection is a carefully curated series of dice and Dice Vaults inspired by 6 elements: Fire, Water, Foliage, Geode, Space and Lightning. Each of these elements is represented by two sets of dice, precisely cast by Dispel, and two handcrafted Dice Vaults, expertly crafted by Wyrmwood. ALL of the offerings in this campaign are extremely limited in availability; once fulfillment concludes, they will NEVER be produced again.
Wave Two of the dice and vaults requires a pledge of $20 to reserve your space. That’s enough for 1d20, but once the campaign has finished, you’ll be able to pick your dice and boxes in the campaign manager.
That’s a bold move by the two companies as it means they have to work the numbers to hit the funding goal. Their Kickstarter counter would be higher if people could pledge $250 for a vault and complete set now.
Wave Two is due out in June, according to the partnership.
Wave Three is the same deal but larger and due in July.
