Welp! This will sell out in a flash. There are 300 copies only of David Fincher and Tim Miller’s signed The Art of Love Death + Robots in a limited edition hardcover. The series was created by Miller, who was the showrunner and David Fincher, one of the directors.
Written by Ramin Zahed and published by Titan Books, the hardback is on pre-order and is due in September.
Love Death + Robots is a fantastic and successful short animation series on Netflix; each episode is generally around ten minutes long, clever, impressive and memorable.
Adult, the show is also happily rife with sex, scares and gore. The clue is in the name, and there’s plenty of dark humour.
The limited edition looks at the first three volumes of the series and includes not just art but an interview with artists and creatives; there are vision decks and the concept art used to make the magic.
The limited edition hardback also has character studies, costume sketches, paintings of scenes and vehicle designs.
As collectors of art books to accompany animations will want, this Love Death + Robots book also has storyboards and finished frames.
The limited edition has an exclusive slipcase and a tip-in sheet with a silver Love Death + Robots face.
