There’s about a week left to get involved with Rowan, Rook and Decard’s latest RPG and 8th Kickstarter. Orc Borg is a Mork Borg-powered sci-fi about a spaceship on a doomed collision course with heaven.
Can you fight for your place? You can find out by backing the project or checking out the pitch.
With art from Rollinkunz, Orc Borg is a standalone Zine RPG that’s billed as fast, cruel and obsessed with the apocalypse.
The goal was £2,500 in funds raised on the crowdfunding platform, and 850 backers later, there’s more than £16,000 in pledges made.
As a result, the successful campaign will offer you what you need to play an obsessive space or try to hurry the apocalypse. You’ll get guns and gear, rules for stealing, then piloting and ultimately fighting with giant mecha.
There are also rules for cybernetics and tips on turning dungeons into maps for the Derelict that serves as the pre-crash home for all these orcs.
The DERELICT is a great big beautiful trash rocket smashing through space and it is jam-packed with ORCS, generations upon generations of them, sporing and scrapping, building murderous idols to their mad gods, and praying for DOOM when the Derelict will crash into heaven and disgorge every dead-hard big-toothed bastard in a glorious tide of violence.
YOU are an ORC, and you fight and kill and pray and scheme and tinker and howl for a place in heaven.
A pledge of £8 is enough to pick up an £8 PDF copy of the Orc Borg RPG as a PDF download.
£15, with shipping included later, will get you the zine and the PDF.
Is that right about shipping? Well, project collaborator, Maz Hamilton, answered a question on whether EU backers would have to pay customs fees. They replied;
We’ll be using IOSS shipping through our partners at Parcelhub, who’ve helped us get that up and running. All EU prices should be fully inclusive of all the relevant taxes.
