Today’s daily digest of news from Geek Native is going to be dominated by bundles and freebies.
That’s a good problem to have! The tabletop community is incredibly generous, but if you’re feeling overloaded, then you can always keep an eye on the Free to Download tag page here on the site.
Chaosium has made a free solo adventure for RuneQuest available online. It’s the same adventure as you’ll find in the RuneQuest Starter Set.
The objective is to learn by doing. The single-player scenario shows you the rules as you adventure as Vasana in a clash against the Lunar Empire.
The Battle for Dangerford isn’t a PDF that you download and are left to work out. You do have to read it, but you do it online, with directions and a dice roller on the page.
New Gamemaster Month
Typically, RuneQuest isn’t played solo. This is true for most RPGs, which are a social experience and often have one person as a guiding hand or lead narrator.
Starting on January 4th it’s New Gamemaster Month and Chaosium are helping out.
It’s run by Monte Cook Games, and Chaosium is one of six publishers taking part.
If you use the code NewGamemasterMonth2022 before 1st February 2022 at Chaosium’s store for RuneQuest Starter Set or Core Rules then you’ll get 10% off your total order.
So, we’ve been given a freebie and money off if we like that sample.
