Did you know Psylocke first appeared in the UK comic book Captain Britain? In fact, she was Captain Britain for a while. That said, Psylocke is best known for her role as a memeber of the X-Men. This particular stunning Psylocke is by the famous cosplayer Yaya Han. Yaya’s 2012 Otakon cosplay as Chun Li […]

Robotically cool Transformer costume

May 4, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This impressive costume was built by Derepentigny Marc who graduated as a machinist in 1995. He likes to push the limits of what he can built and tends to favour transformable costumes, robots, models and dragons. Got to have a bit of dragonfire in there. Via Mark’s Projects

TARDIS control room cosplay

May 4, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

We’ve seen some impressive TARDIS designs in the past including some TARDIS ballgowns, some made from velvet and even a Little Blue Tardis Riding Hood but I think this is the first cosplay / dress of the inside of the TARDIS. In particular, this is a glowing, control room dress. Via Facebook and Fashionably Geek.

Frighteningly good female orc warrior cosplay

May 2, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This incredible orc cosplay, a frighteningly good female warrior, was created by Lagueuse. The sisters in arms also manage an etsy store if you wish to join the ranks of the armour clad. It’s worth paying attention to the fine detail in this suit. The pot marks, the scars, the shine and tarnish. The orc […]

Cosplay every day at work and get away with it? Canadian MITMUNK produce these fashionable chainmail leggings that would make those secret cosplay dreams come true. Cosplay? Pah. These leggings have enough alternative fashion kudos to pass as statement wear. Via Lauren Berkley at Geeks Are Sexy.

Fantastic faun cosplay

May 1, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

You don’t often see faun cosplay and probably because they’re a bit awkward to dress up as. However, Dutch cosplayer Psychara managed wonderfully. Look at those silts. I can’t imagine what pottering around the Elf Fantasy Fair silts would have been like.

Impressive ogre costume

April 30, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’m not sure whether to file this as LARP or cosplay. This ogre costume was created for Halloween and resulted in many prizes for “best costume”. The orgre was created by 6’2″ Scott Carreras who has it on sale at etsy for $2,000 and he reckons a smaller person could wear the suit – but […]

Alien cosplay created with just body paint

April 30, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I suppose it’s not really cosplay if there’s no costume involved. That said; “cosplay” feels like the best word to describe these body paint transformations created by the deviant artist Tauart. The Russian has used his skills to turn human women into exotic looking aliens. Via Geyser of Awesome.
