Do you think this is PS4 / PlayStation 4 leak?

June 13, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I just want to begin with a reminder – I work in marketing; I work with a number of clients and some of these might be in gaming. I’m not going to blog about anything that I have to keep a secret. I can blog about stuff that’s in public domain. If there’s no secret […]

Bender; “Yeah, we’re back” – first 90 seconds of new Futurama

June 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

It’s been… seven years but Futurama is making its way back to TV. It’ll air, as you’d expect, in the States but I’m sure we’ll get it here in the UK as well. There’s a Comedy Central over here and if that doesn’t work then I think the chances of Sky 1 stepping up to […]

Photo-real (and rather cute) goblins

June 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Inspired by the “There was a goblin” (spoiler alert) quote from Doctor Who I went looking for some pictures of cheeky gobbos online. It didn’t take long to find Bill Fleming (aka ~KomodoEmpire) at DeviantArt and his rather excellent photo manipulation gallery of Goblins. Very cute. Go buy the prints, people. :)

Doctor Who: The Lodger – will football let the side down?

June 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I think Matt Smith is making a success of Doctor Who. The eleventh Doctor manages just to have that touch of … difference? alternative sanity? eccentricity? … that I kinda want from my Doctor. I will admit that I was very worried before the series. In particular, from some of the scene photographs that became […]

Vampire Pac-man? Unpack-man? I want

June 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Pac-man is iconic. He’s useful too. You can use him to hoover up little white pills you might have left scattered around your maze-like house. You can use him to keep the number of ghosts haunting your pad in check as well; or at least distract them from haunting you. Turns out that you can […]

Ninjas and Robots: In Soviet Russia, dolls nest you!

June 11, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Sometimes Think Geek just has the most awesome stuff. You know those Russian dolls that stack inside themselves – imagine having a robot set. No! Imagine being able to unstack ninja; each one smaller than the last! One hundred percent awesome! As Think Geek say; “In Soviet Russia, dolls nest you!”

Giant ants attack building in Houston and a giant hand squashes building in Amsterdam

June 11, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

They’re pretty cool – 3D projectors are getting impressive these days and when you watch from the right angle you’ll enjoy some special effects. First up is an advert from Black Flag (not the band) but some sort of pest control people. Next up is a demo from Samsung. It features everything from a hand […]

So the director behind the Fame remake decided to do a short Mortal Kombat film as a proof-of-concept. He got Michael Jai White (Spawn, The Dark Knight) and Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) to appear in it.
