PlayStation with an ace new God of War 3 trailer

February 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Over at the European PlayStation blog, Thach Quach the Senior European Product Manager, brings us one of the “omg the scale is huge!” trailers for God of War 3. Like Thach, I’m going to borrow from the US and quote; “Just to give a little perspective on what we were going for with this trailer, […]

Alien PlayStation case-mod

February 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

A guilty secret – I sometimes read the Sega US blog. Heh. I do try and stay on the EU blogs from the main providers as I feel they’re a much more relevant read.

Today, though, I was glad I popped over to Sega. They’re sharing pictures of this:

February 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

To keep the thrills going with the Brightest Day – the DC series following on from the Blackest Night – we’ve been given a look at the cover of second book. The front of Brighest Day is by David Finch and showcases Aquaman. It’s stunning. What also caught my attention was this quote from Brightest […]

Space Battleship Yamato gets itself a poster

February 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The live action of the oh-so-old anime Space Battleship Yamato has a shiny new poster to tease us with. I’m in mixed minds about the anime. It shows its age! The movie looks pretty impressive though. I wonder if there is any chance of it ever getting a UK release. Ever. If you’ve not seen […]

Akira live action pushes on with the Hughes Brothers

February 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood 3 Comments

There have been loads of reports, attempts, whispers and moves on the Akira live action front over the year. Will we ever see it? We now know that Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus; some of the talent behind Iron Man and Children of Men, are writing/have written a new script. Vulture, New York’s Magazine is […]

In Sunderland, a former shop manager at Games Workshop has been been charged with theft. The local Magistrates have ruled that the theft; which amounts to more than £8,000, is too serious for them to judge on. The case has been past up to the Newcastle Crown Courts. The Sunderland Echo is reporting that Christopher […]

The Muppets meet social media

February 11, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

It’s as if the Muppets have been asleep for the last ten years, have woken up as it turned 2010 and instantly got the power of Social Media.

I think I may use this video in presentations.

February 11, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’ve been following the build up to this movie for a while… and I have to say that it looks better with each snippet they show us. That’s their plan, though, huh? Anyway; check our the latest official trailer for M Night Shyamalan’s Last Airbender and judge for yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCE8ITc6KCQ

And we shall know no fear! The Ultramarines wireframe test

February 11, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Bob Thompson from Codex has been letting likely fans of Ultramarines, the forthcoming Games Workshop Warhammer 40K movie, preview some of the animation from Image Metrics. Image Metrics is a London based but Hollywood known animation studio. They’re involvement with the project is one of the many reasons to talke the Ultramarines movie seriously. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ht97BoGOiA
