Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing in Halloween trailer

October 31, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Just by looking at this I suspect the game falls in that uncomfortable gap between Mario Cart and “proper” racing games. I like the fact that Sega have done a Halloween trailer for the game, though.

The second lego Batman and Spider-man movie

October 31, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The young Forrest Whaley is making a name for himself as an animator. The first lego Batman movie was a YouTube hit and this second one makes it on the daily hit list less than two days after it was uploaded.

Stormtrooper Halloween prank

October 31, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Minneapolis’ Pinnacle Services get geek cred for this Star Wars Halloween prank. It strikes me as a good one to do and I’m impressed with the way pretty much all the reactions from the people in the lift. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IryrooDVVtM

@3panman is awesome

October 30, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

3panman‘s Twitter bio says; “musician, cook, computer tech” and I’d add “custom guru” to the list. With a simple tweet of “Yepyepyepyepyepyep uh-huh uh-huh…. ” we’re led to this Halloween twitpic costume.

Laugh with Princess Robot Bubblegum

October 30, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’m clearly an anime fan and yet I found the Princess Robot Bubblegum spoof funny. It’s here to promote the must-be-a-hit-or-rockstar-dies game Grand Theft Auto but its heavily woven up with Microsoft – sorry everyone else. I’d also note that Princess Robot Bubblegum spoof the genre so well that it could only have been put […]

Win a signed copy of Mecha & Manga

October 30, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Here’s a good competition – a chance to win a signed copy of Mecha & Manga. Mecha & Manga is a new Mutants & Masterminds sourcebook from Green Ronin. It’s been authored by Alejandro Melchor. Melchor is an accomplished artist himself and I think this means a lot for any manga book. Alejandro also writes […]

October 30, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Crikey, DM! It’s far too late to order any geeky masks for Halloween this year but I’ve saved the best for last. What horror villain could it be? What computer game hero will take the prestigious number 12 slot? We have a surprise winner, a blast from the past, an icon of geek culture; Danger […]

Stormtroopers in surprising places

October 29, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

These funky Stormtrooper (plus one Darth) pictures have come to Geek Native via We heart it. They’ve gathered them up from all around the web. So what? Well; I want to make sure the original clever clogs/artist get all the credit they’re due.

The optical illusion of Vercorin

October 29, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Vercorin is a town in the Swiss Alps. The whole town is part of a giant optical illusion called Cercle et suite d’éclats created by Felice Varini. The illusion was created by first projecting the pattern onto the old buildings and then painting it on! I can imagine such a feat would only be possible […]

Generic Wizards Night vs Warner Bros

October 26, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood 2 Comments

This story popped up on my other radar – the professional digital marketing radar – but I think it belongs to Geek Native. I’ve already seen Ms Marmite Lover on British TV. She was in the spotlight for hosting private dinner parties in her house. You meet strangers at your table. You pay a little […]
