Killmoves trailer from Aliens vs Predator

January 15, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

There’s no way to describe this trailer as anything other than symphony of blood soaked death. It’s called the “killmoves” trailer and it lives up to it’s name. Want to see a quick blast of death from the forthcoming (February) Aliens vs Predator game? It’s out for consoles and PC so you get to pick […]

Tracks & Vehicles trailer for Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing

January 15, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’m still in two minds over this game. On one hand Mario Kart is a lot of fun. This looks like it could be just as much a giggle. On the other hand; it’s a certain style that makes Mario Kart fun and I’m not so sure it can be easily re-created. What I do […]

English language trailer for Final Fantasy XIII

January 14, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

There are a number of good things about this trailer; the Leona Lewis song isn’t one of them though. I’m more interested in the character dialog than a reality TV show star’s mantra in the background. They need to turn it down. It’s also worth noting that, shockingly, Final Fantasy XIII won’t be exclusive on […]

Wii Sniper Rifle ships next week

January 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood 2 Comments

Do we need a sniper rifle for Wii games? Hardware manufacturer CTA thinks so. Having already produced a £25 “Sure Shot Rifle” CTA have presumably tested the market and seen the need. Although it’s slightly odd that the gaming accessory is coming out on the wrong side of Christmas. The sniper rifle is currently only […]

No more Final Fantasy?

January 8, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

There may be no more Final Fantasy, not as we know the series, after Final Fantasy XII. After having already publicly discussed taking development of the next Final Fantasy away from Japan and giving it to Western developers Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada says the whole series needs something new. Once again we can turn […]

Lengthy Ar Tonelico III trailer hits the web

January 7, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is an awfully long – 4:30 plus – trailer for the forthcoming JRPG Ar Tonelico. It’s also quite loud so I’d nudge your volume downwards. The trailer shows off glimpses of most aspects of the game; the cut-scenes, costumes, battle stances, attacks and even wandering around.

Square Enix to offshore Final Fantasy XIV to Western developers?

January 6, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

As the West prepares for Final Fantasy XIII there are some early hints that any sequel to the game might not come from Square Enix’s Japanese developers. The Final Fantasy series is seen as the archetypal JRPG so this will come as a shock to many. Square Enix’s President, Yoichi Wade, suggested to Edge magazine […]

DJ Hero 2 on the way

January 6, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Did you buy DJ Hero? Disappointed with it? You would have thought that Acitivision would have been disappointing with the cooler-than-luke-warm sales for the hardware/software game combo but it has all but been confirmed there’s a sequel coming. We know because DJ David Guetta told Candian press that he’s working on the second game. “I […]
