Every now and then a genuinely remarkable Falkor surfaces on the handmade gift site Etsy.
Step forward Melvon and Reine who make a whole range of very cute clay and fluffy animals. They’re based in Tomsk, Russia, so you know your fellow gamers aren’t going to find one of their creatures in a local store but have no problem with shipping.
If you’re not familiar with Falkor, then you need to watch The Neverending Story – a grimdark fantasy about nihilism masquerading as a kids movie.
This Falkor, the Luck Dragon, is larger than the photographs suggest. He’s actually 65 cms from nose to tail, that’s two-thirds of a metre.
This artisan purchase isn’t cheap though. Falkor will set you back US$350.
