Geek Native occasionally has goodies to giveaway in a competition, and when that happens, we like to run a little poll. Some years back we had a copy of Ghost in the Shell: Arise to giveaway so we asked a question about cyborgs.
We wanted to know whether readers thought in the future people would voluntarily become cyborgs.
The twist? We also asked whether the reader considered themselves to be fit and healthy.
The results won’t surprise anyone. Readers who considered themselves fit and healthy did not think we would voluntarily offer ourselves up as cyborgs. Only 20% did. Readers who did not consider themselves healthy were twice as likely to hold a different view as just over 42% of them thought we might embrace the cyborg future.
Here are the results in a graph.
