The creator of Call of Cthulhu has seen his Kickstarter race through the one million dollar mark. With less than a day on the clock the pledge fund is at $1,224,958 and rising.
Backers are supporting efforts to create a combination of a strategy board game with the Cthulhu mythos from the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The game is expensive as it comes with RPG scale miniatures for various different factions; ranging from a Cthulhu model to cultists. If you’re backing from outside the US and want to get a copy then you’ll be looking at a $145 donation.
The pitch has benefitted from from there already been an impressive beta version of the game. There are a number of videos which demonstrate the gameplay and how impressive the models look.
The videos combine with impressive art. Over 900 backers have pledged more than $520, the top tier, to get all the benefits.
