Dorkly have channeled into the on-going debate around “fake girl geeks” with this Metroid comic strip.

Those who rally against “fake geek girls” suggest there’s a fashion to pretend to be geeky, to tap into the influential and growing culture, and often for commerical gains. There are plenty of counter arguments too – and I’m especially fond of the one that suggests the minute you’re bullish enough to decide whether someone qualifies for a social status or not then you’ve lost your geek cred yourself.
