Italian underground publisher Hollow Press has made its first appearance in Scotland, exhibiting at Tabletop Scotland at the Royal Highland Centre to sell its grim tabletop roleplaying game, Görga – The Curse of Deth, in person to UK audiences for the first time.

Running through Sunday 6 September, the convention marks a rare overseas physical outing for the Italian publisher, which is best known among comic and art-book collectors for publishing surreal, atmospheric guidebooks to video games that do not actually exist. Tabletop Scotland visitors visiting the Hollow Press booth can pick up both those conceptual art projects and the physical run of Görga, which originally rolled off the press in May 2026.
The game drops players into an unrelenting subterranean purgatory where raw life essence remains trapped within an endless maze of cavernous rock. Unstoppable, autonomous rogue golems carve tunnels and raise bizarre monolith cities out of living stone, while stranded human communities wither in a perpetual, cyclical state of “deth and undeth”.
Mechanically, Görga relies on a percentile dice system. The game master sets a discrete Challenge Level for attempted tasks, with outcomes resolved against character capabilities. Magic and ritual practices lean heavily on tangible, player-driven mechanics; casting spells like Lüs Dream requires the player at the table to actively sketch symbols and images on paper to maintain a psychic connection with fractured spirits and calm subterranean abominations.
Body modification features prominently throughout the setting rules under the concept of “Grafting”. Sorcerers and scavengers stitch limbs, organs, and additional extremities harvested from undeth bodies onto their own forms to survive the depths, risking profound psychological decay in exchange for physical utility.
The physical publication comprises a 256-page stitched softcover printed on 90g white Munken paper, finished with a full-colour dust jacket and transparent UV spot varnish. Hollow Press published the initial print run in limited batches: 800 English regular copies alongside a 300-copy limited edition, and 400 regular Italian copies alongside 100 limited editions that include a Game Master screen and a dedicated cassette soundtrack.

For players unable to visit the Royal Highland Centre before Tabletop Scotland closes on Sunday, English print copies ship internationally directly from Hollow Press in Italy, and a complete rules introduction is available via a free online quickstart.
